The projects, ‘School for Africa’ works with are chosen carefully. They must be sustainable and manageable, with the welfare of the child being of prime importance.

We currently support:

·        a new village for an ex leper colony

·        several rural schools.

·        2 orphanages

We also work with NASAD, a charity in Zambia, to support their work particularly with the education of children and the development of their teachers.

Our largest project, at present, is in helping to build a new village, in Zambia, for 30 displaced families. Kachale Village will be the new hope for the healthy descendants of an ex leper colony, who are tragically being moved off the land they have called ‘home’ for years. Kachale village

With her locally formed charity NASAD, Kathy Harding has worked tirelessly to support these villagers. She secured 200 hectares of bush land from a Tribal Chief and Kachale Village is now being built for them.

‘School for Africa’ is building the new school for the Kachale Village children. It will be known as Natimwa Learning Centre, providing education for children up to Grade 3, initially. An HIV/Aids awareness programme is being put in place and it is planned that the school hall should also be used for adult education. Our aim is to help this new village to become self reliant – and it starts with educating the very youngest!
